One week after my first table-setting experiment at the Farmer's Market in N. Adams, I was allowed to do another at the MASS MoCA campus courtyard. Just with one street parting the market and museum, only a few steps away, I met different crowds and interactions. The Roots concert was happening that night at MASS MoCA, so it attracted even more people, somewhat distracted and rushed than in the slow-paced weekend market scene. One participant who works as a dictionary publisher gave me a perspective on socio-linguistic influence on English words by food/ new food/ food from other cultures, and I appreciated her insight. I have been also making #propertablesetting castings during my residency period.
