The dumpling diaspora party took place at the Collective SML | k, and Madalyn Drewno presented her research and exhibited her artworks. Madalyn spent a year with me- researching, illustrating, making, and eating many kinds of dumplings. We had a chance to hear \her expert knowledge in dumpling history, various recipes, folding techniques, Asian American immigration narratives through the food business lens. We also wished her a safe and exciting journey to Japan.
